One of my favorite parts of being a musician is sharing music with people, especially when it becomes part of their most meaningful moments and celebrations. Whether you’re seeking elegant classical violin for a ceremony, spirited traditional Irish fiddle for a celebration, or engaging folk and contemporary styles for a concert or recording, I love tailoring each performance to fit the atmosphere and audience.

Pricing

Every event is unique, and each performance deserves its own approach and personal touch. Because of this, I don’t use a one-size-fits-all pricing model for performances. Once I understand your vision, I’ll provide a customized quote tailored to your needs, location, and budget.

Below are a few sample pricing models from recent performances. These examples are meant as general reference points, not guaranteed rates, but they can help as you plan and budget for your event.

Available services include

• Solo violin or fiddle performances for weddings and events

  • Ceremonies, cocktail hours, dinners, background music, and more.

  • I can work with you to choose music appropriate for your ideal atmosphere, and can also honor requests for specific styles, pieces, and songs

• Ensemble bookings

  • I work with a roster of professional musicians in Pittsburgh including cello, viola, guitar, flute, piano, banjo, uilleann pipes, accordion, Irish bouzouki, bodhran, percussion, Scottish bagpipes and more.

  • We can create the ideal ensemble for your event from a duo, to a string quartet, folk ensemble, or band.

• Studio and recording sessions

• Festival, folk, and cultural performances

  • Staged performances or "busking" type performances

• Educational and community engagements

Wedding Ceremony (Solo Violin) $250–$400 15–30 min of prelude music as guests arrive, processional/recessional selections from standard repertoire, and ~15 minutes postlude as guests depart.

Wedding Ceremony (Solo Violin) $400–$500 15–30 min of prelude music as guests arrive, processional/recessional selections from standard rep or request for specific songs or pieces, music for sand ceremony, candle lighting, etc during ceremony, and up to 15 minutes postlude as guests depart.

Wedding Ceremony (Guitar and Violin Duo) $400–$600 15–30 min of prelude music as guests arrive, processional/recessional selections from standard repertoire, and ~15 minutes postlude as guests depart.

Cocktail Hour/ Background music (Solo or Duo) $250- $700 1-2 hours of background or featured music during a dinner, cocktail hour, or party. Selections from standard repertoire (choose classical, folk, celtic traditional, etc.)

Studio Recording Session $100–$200/hr Available for in-studio or remote recording projects.

I understand that finances are an important part of event planning, and I’m happy to explore flexible options whenever possible to make live music accessible for your occasion. Please note that travel fees may apply for events outside the immediate Pittsburgh area.
